Nanoparticles tracking analysis LM 10 system
CATALOG NAME:
NanoSight LM 10
DESCRIPTION:
NanoSight LM series are newly developed devices designed to determine the size distribution and numbers of nanoparticles in polydisperse and heterogeneous systems, such as systems that are partially aggregated. The analyzer uses a CCD or Scientific CMOS camera mounted on an optical microscopic system to track light scattered by particles that are present in a focused (80 mm) laser beam generated by a single-mode laser diode. The Brownian motion of the nanoparticles is tracked at 30 frames s-1. Dedicated image analysis software is employed to evaluate mean squared displacements of each visible particle, which are used to determine sizes based on the Stokes Einstein equation.

Air-water eddy currents separator with permanent magnets
CATALOG NAME:
Manufactured laboratory equipment
DESCRIPTION:
A new eddy-currents separation technique, based on a complementary air-water method, designed for recovery from heterogeneous mixtures of small nonferrous particles having dimensions less than 5 mm. The new equipment contains as main part a horizontal magnetized rotary cylinder with four poles of NdFeB permanent magnets, alternately N-S and S-N oriented. The separation process occurs under successive and complementary actions: first the electromagnetic forces act upon strongly conducting nonferrous particles in air, then electromagnetic and Magnus forces upon poorly conducting and undecided particles in water.
