SERVICE DESCRIPTION:
Molecular oncogenetic diagnostic of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer (HBOC) syndrome include complete analysis on BRCA1 and BRCA2 germ-line variants. The protocol used: - analysis of recurrent and founder BRCA mutations by pre-screening technologies (multiplex-PCR, allele-specific-PCR, RFLP, heteroduplex analysis, Taqman genotyping assay - complete Sanger forward and reverse sequencing of BRCA1 and BRCA2 coding regions and intron/exon boundaries - in-silico interpretation of each variant - verification of each variant on a second independant sample - analysis of large genomic rearrangements by MLPA
